I have mixed feelings about this book。 It’s a sweet story with wonderful illustrations。 However, I think if it’s read too much, a child might get a bit narcissistic。
Kelly Woznik,
Super cute book
Sophie,
My favourite gift for all the new babies。 Utterly delightful and a favourite in our house。
Molly Lamson,

Kelly Taylor,
I couldn't help but feel like this book was。。。 condescending? Pandering? I'm a pretty good mom, and I think I passed on some decent genes to my kid, but even if she was the most magical human that ever lived, I wouldn't tell her the world revolved around her。 Maybe I'm unsentimental? The illustrations are lovely and unique。 The prose is so-so。 I couldn't help but feel like this book was。。。 condescending? Pandering? Nicole,
I had this book for a while and since I'm moving soon I've decided to read it before I donate it。 It's a cute little book。 I can imagine how special children would feel when their parents tell them that the bears are snoozing at the zoo because they spent all night dancing out of the joy of their child being born。Some of the artwork creeped me out, though。 Particularly the moon。 I had this book for a while and since I'm moving soon I've decided to read it before I donate it。 It's a cute little book。 I can imagine how special children would feel when their parents tell them that the bears are snoozing at the zoo because they spent all night dancing out of the joy of their child being born。Some of the artwork creeped me out, though。 Particularly the moon。 。。。more
Tommy,
Cute book, but it’s more for the parents than the kid。
Therese Thompson,
So lovely! We were both entranced。
Hilary Libka,
Beautiful but complicated for reading following a traumatic birth when you don’t have that night your baby was born to remember。
Jessica Dyer,
Too religious for me but baby girl liked the rhythm
Patricia N。 McLaughlin,
I wonder how different our world would be if each and every one of us was welcomed with such joy into the web of being? Beautiful illustrations emphasize the oneness of Creation。
Aarvik,
It was an okay read for him。
Dean Nelson,
Mommy and Daddy read this to me in the NICU after my first brain surgery。 It was one of the books the NICU had for parents to read to babies, but Mommy and Daddy bought a copy for the house when we got home。
Spencer,
2021Truly a sweet book about how precious and unique your baby is。 So much love。
Bruna Pinheiro,
Simplesmente adorável!
Bekah Hubstenberger,
Beautifully and wonderful lyrical with a sweet message but tbh could not get past the creepy faces in the moon
Mandy,
Read this with my daughter, she enjoyed the illustrations more than the narrative (especially the polar bears)。 Cute book!
Read Stories,
This has a good message but there are some things I find problematic as in most of Nancy Tillman's books。 Like another reviewer said, "the kid is subsequently meant to understand that she's so extraordinary, that the geese honk all morning and the bears dance all night。。。" which was what the book was about。 It's all a bit too much。 I get that it's to lift up kids who are feeling insecure about themselves or have low self-esteem, but saying things like "you're so special that the moon stays awake This has a good message but there are some things I find problematic as in most of Nancy Tillman's books。 Like another reviewer said, "the kid is subsequently meant to understand that she's so extraordinary, that the geese honk all morning and the bears dance all night。。。" which was what the book was about。 It's all a bit too much。 I get that it's to lift up kids who are feeling insecure about themselves or have low self-esteem, but saying things like "you're so special that the moon stays awake during the day" is bordering on encouraging narcissism, which is a bit disturbing。 。。。more

Jon Nakapalau,
Wonderful book that will help a young child see how unique they are - fantastic art。
Feralucce Savage,
Begin as you mean to go on: The cover is a treacly sweet picture of waltzing polar bears, and the rest of the book lives up to it。 The book's artwork is beautiful, almost like stained glass in places and near photorealistic in others。 It's like a collage, all about this nameless child (the child being read to, I assumed) is celebrated by all of heaven and nature because they are unique and special and wonderful。 And when any animal lingers near them for any length of time, or the clouds part, it Begin as you mean to go on: The cover is a treacly sweet picture of waltzing polar bears, and the rest of the book lives up to it。 The book's artwork is beautiful, almost like stained glass in places and near photorealistic in others。 It's like a collage, all about this nameless child (the child being read to, I assumed) is celebrated by all of heaven and nature because they are unique and special and wonderful。 And when any animal lingers near them for any length of time, or the clouds part, it is only happening because all of creation wants to see them smile! Seems like a lot of pressure in a bedtime story, but ok。 Wife's take: Do you want sociopaths? Because this is how you get sociopaths。 No one show this book to Eloise! There'll be absolutely no living with her。 Kiddo: Puppy! Wife: Polar bears。Kiddo, making hard eye contact: Pup-pee! 。。。more
Kristin Jenkins,

Elle Coen,
I really do like this book, but it’s difficult to know what all the words are because my mom always starts to cry halfway through。 Excellent artwork!
Liz,
Prefect to read yo your child to show they are loved
Jessica,
Such a sweet book; this one is going in the hospital bag so that I can read it to Albany after she is born :)
Naomi,
While this was a beautiful book, to me, it was the illustrations that really carried this book。 They were simply gorgeous。
